YYDC will re-stage an excerpt of Ripple to the students of Princeton University at Princeton Dance Festival from Nov 22 -24, 2024 at Berlind Theatre, McCarter Theater Center. The program was shared by Rennie Harris, Raja Feather Kelly, Rebecca Lazier, Matthew Neenan and Stephen Petronio.
Ripple was choreographed by Yue Yin and premiered by YYDC in 2021 at Harkness MainStage Series.
Created during the pandemic, Ripple is an intimate and intricate group work consisting of several duets, the movement represents the spectrum between order and chaos. While our lives may seem caught up in the conflict between calmness and turbulence, there are moments of harmony when the balance is found.
